Perils for Pedestrians Episode 155

 I-90 floating bridge
Bicyclists travel on the bike path across the I-90 floating bridge in Seattle, Washington. It is one of the longest floating bridges in the world. The depth of Lake Washington makes a pontoon bridge more economical than one with piers to the lake bottom. The bike path is a vital connection between the eastern suburbs and the city of Seattle, and is heavily used. Access to bridges is one of the most important issues for pedestrians and bicyclists.
